A new Mercantile apron made from Japanese Indigo dyed Hickory stripe 10oz cotton.
The Dawson Denim Mercantile apron is inspired by the aprons worn by both men and women in Grocery and Dry Goods stores up until the 1950’s to protect clothing during the working day.
The apron measures :
31” wide 39” length
This style is made to order. The apron is one of a numbered production run. Its details include copper grommets, Dawson branded die set buttons, heavy cotton webbing tape and copper rivets and selvedge denim reinforcements.
The Fabric :
10 oz Hickory stripe cotton made in Japan.
Wash care :
We recommend that you wash as least often as possible if you would like to maintain the colour of the Dry Denim. This fabric is likely to shrink by 5% on it’s first wash so make sure you wash in cold water separately to reduce the shrinkage as much as possible, add a little salt in with the water to stabilize the indigo. This stripe will fade as jeans do over time.
Log book :
Each of our aprons is sold with a log book which entitles the owner a free repair during the first 6 months. This does not affect your statutory rights.
At Dawson Denim each item is custom made to order, on aprons it’s usually a week turn around. On jeans and jackets it usually takes around 4 or 5 weeks to cut and sew each piece. If you plan to buy something from our store for a specific date please email us through our contact page first to ensure we can make your deadline.
