LOT 18 SASHIKO SACK JACKET 5 YEAR WASH

The Sack Jacket is our take on the archetypal workwear coverall. One of our earliest jacket silhouettes, we’ve updated the fit by trimming unnecessary room in the chest and sleeves, resulting in something that slots into the modern wardrobe whilst referencing workwear of yesteryear.

This is a limited run of our classic Sack Jacket made in our 10 oz. indigo-dyed sashiko cotton fabric. Woven for us by Japan’s esteemed Nihon Menpu Mills, this fabric has a heavily textured surface that will fade with wear, revealing more character and brighter tones of indigo as the years go by.

Following the success of our AW22 washed jacket we've worked with Britain's leading denim laundry to rework this incredible fabric for our SS23 collection to apply. Using a bleach and acid-free enzyme wash, our forward-thinking laundry neutralises the ph of all water used in the wash before recycling it, leading to a more environmentally friendly process that aligns with our morals here at Dawson. 

Each Sack Jacket is made on vintage sewing machines in our Brighton workshop and finished with Reese 101 buttonholes, custom diecast buttons, a canvas Dawson-branded label, and a unique spectacle button hole on the front placket.
