Inspired by a vintage 1930's "Kimono" we did some more research and discovered that the piece we had was actually a Buddhist monk's workwear jacket called a "Samue" Jacket.
It's perfect to wear both indoors and outside.
We carefully broke down the jacket to it's finest details and after some tailoring knowledge followed the original make up so as to do it justice.
- We used a natural plant dyed indigo selvedge fabric woven in Kurashiki, Japan.
- The mill dates back 150 years
- All dyed to match threads
- Half lined
- French seams where necessary
- Numbered product, signed by our maker
- Hand stitch finished -
At Dawson Denim each item is made by us by hand in our workshop on the South Coast of Great Britain. All our goods are made in limited batches, we aim to send out every order within a week from purchase. We use Royal Mail tracked services in the UK this normally takes around 2-3 days.For any goods shipping internationally we use Royal Mail International tracked or the equivalent cost on a courier this normally takes around 7 to 10 working days. Shipping costs do not include individual counties duty and tax.
