Dawson Denim knitwear is hand made in Suffolk, Great Britain with 60 years of experience in hand knitting. Each piece takes 6 weeks to make and each one is made to order.
The Gansy is a classic knitwear shape made for sailors to keep warm and dry. Our Gansys are made from 100% British Worsted 5-ply Guernsey Wool, this wool is spun and dyed in Yorkshire, UK.
This 5-ply wool is spun tightly so as to expel water and the design of the Gansy is usually with a pattern on the top section which provides extra dimensions for waterproofing. We've added gussets at the neck and the underarm which should allow more movement. The pattern is the same both front and back making the garment reversible an authentic design.

At Dawson Denim, each item is expertly crafted in Japan before being checked and shipped from our location in East Sussex, Great Britain. All our goods are produced in limited batches, ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. We aim to dispatch all orders within one week of purchase.
UK Orders: Shipped via Royal Mail Tracked, with an estimated delivery time of 2-3 days.
International Orders: Typically arrive within 7-10 days, depending on the destination and local postal services.
